RAMS vs QPR – Predict the result

RAMS (WDLWL) vs QPR (LDLDD)

This suggests to me a draw is on the cards. What do you think?
How much will the “Clough Factor” impact on our performance?

Frozen pitches

without comments

Lots of games were postponed due to the sub-zero weather, in particular the visit to Cardiff. In this day and age I am amazed at how many clubs do not have under soil heating, especially in the premiership.

One club that continues to amaze me at the lack of things is Birmingham City. No undersoil heating and not many fans for such a huge city.

Any club aiming for top flight football should have heating. The FA need to make it a prerequisite.

Liam Dickinson – Welcome home

without comments

Twenty two year old Dickinson scored 21 goals in 41 games last season for Stockport.
Paul Jewell said he needed to gain confidence!
On loan he has scored 6 goals in 13 games for Huddesfield and 4 goals in 7 games for Blackpool.

I think he has proved that he can hack it. Even Chris Hutchings knew we needed him back quickly. The stats speak for themselves, this guy can score goals. I think Nathan Ellington and Rob Hulse need to be concerned about their place in the team. I’m hoping this is a wakeup call for the RAMS front line.

All we need now is a wakeup call for the defence and come to think of it midfield.

Ince – You cannot be serious!

without comments

Here we go again. We are being linked with Paul Ince – No, he doesn’t have enough experience. We need someone with a few years managerial knowledge at a high level. Whatever it takes Mr Pearson, get Alan Curbishly.

Chris Hutchings ???

without comments

I’m hoping Adam Pearson is just following standard protocol for when a manager resigns.
Chris Hutchings has proved one thing – he can’t hack it. He has to be a stop gap whilst a new descent manager is persuaded to take on the task of getting us back in the Premiership.
I can’t believe Aidy Boothroyd is second favourite with the bookies after Hutchings. Where do these organisations get the idea that Watford were anything like the football club we are. DCFC is a much bigger club with far greater asperations and expectations. We need a manager of note, not another Championship marvel, Premiership flop.
We need a man with fire in his belly who is never satisfied until he gets perfection.
So this is a plea to the board – don’t just accept what the bookies say. Be prepared to pay more and get a quality manager and not just someone who you would like to “give a chance” to.

RAMS vs Ipswich

without comments

Nuff said about the pretty much expected result at Deepdale.

Ipswich are in town today and what are we expecting from this one?

Well here are the current last 5 HOME vs AWAY outcomes -

RAMS (DWDLW) vs Ipswich (WLLLD)

I can see this heading for a draw. Although Ipswich have a pretty poor away record, as we do, I think the way we are playing at the moment, Ipswich will get all the chances they need to score. We have a very poor defense and everyone knows it. The stats suggest we’re in with a chance of a win but if 4 out of 10 RAMS players are actually up for it again, then we could easily lose.
As a die hard RAMS fan, I pray we stuff ‘em 6-0 and everyone can tell me I don’t know what I’m on about but, something tells me it’s going to be 1-1.
Please prove me wrong guys.
