T-Mobile and Orange are to merge.
T-Mobile is a mobile network operator headquartered in Bonn, Germany. It is a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom and belongs to the FreeMove Business alliance. T-Mobile UK, Hyde has around 6500 employees
Orange is the brand used by France Telecom for its mobile network operator and Internet service provider subsidiaries. The brand was created in 1994 for Hutchison Telecom’s UK mobile phone network, which was acquired by France Telecom in August 2000.
Orange UK has around 6400 employees.
The companies are expected to continue to operate as individual brands for around 18 months.
