Performance Improvement

without comments

The performances are getting better despite the humiliation of losing to Forest. It’s a better start than last season and that’s all anyone can ask at this time. Let’s hope we can stuff Forest in the return fixture. Hopefully by then we reach a rich vein of form and stick five past them.
Nigel Clough is doing a good job and we all need to keep cheering on the Rams. There will be set backs and the odd annoying result, like this one, but lets keep positive and I’m sure everything will keep improving.

Early days but, come on guys, two half baked performances are NOT acceptable.
I don’t think this is NC’s fault, it’s fairly typical of players these days. Unless it’s a high profile Premiership club, the squad tend to be a little half baked until the manager starts kicking back-sides. Losses to a lower league club and a newly promoted club are just embarrassing. Much better performance against Blackpool and I’m sure that when the key front players return to action, we’ll see some distinct improvement up front. According to Robby Savage, the players agreed to forgo their bonuses unless they finished in the top six. I get the feeling that the bonuses don’t mean much to them.
It will take time to build a good squad of players that feel they can achieve something. Until then we’ll have to be patient. Determination and enthusiasm require great motivation and until the squad start believing, we’re going to see many more good and bad mixed performances.

Carling Cup – Mmmm!

without comments

2-1 loss at League Two Rotherham United. Not a good performance and disappointing.
However, I’m never sure whether it’s that important. Quite a contrast from last season but, let’s face it, the CCC is far more important. Yes it would have been nice to get a win but, this tends to be a typical outcome these days. I think it means a lot more to League One and League Two clubs but even so it’s still a downer to lose to a lower league club.
Oh well, let’s not dwell on it too much. A good performance at Scunthorpe on Saturday is what we’re looking for. COME ON YOU RAMS!

Now that’s better. At last, a winning start. Nearly came unstuck but kept battling and it paid off.
Well done everyone.

Will the new season bring good things? Will it bring frustration? Only time will tell.
The set of pre-season injuries don’t bode well. How do you get injured before you start playing hard?
I’m sure that’s what most fans are thinking. Well let’s be positive and I’m sure things will be better than last season.
